Owen - Sneak Peak

This week I had a session with a little cutie, Owen.  Although he's only four weeks old, he quickly let us know who was in charge.  Owen was the man!  He did just what he wanted to do, when he wanted to do it.  He was so cute that none of us seemed to mind.

Avery - Sneak Peak

It's hard to believe that Little Miss Avery is only 6 months old.  She sat in front of the camera like a big girl for the entire shoot.  Mom and Mimi wore themselves out trying to get her to smile, but it wasn't until her Grandfather, aka Big Papa, came into the room that she lit up and smiled for everyone.

Emma and Shelby - Sneak Peak

Here's a sneak peak of a recent shoot.  Cousins Emma and Shelby were absolutely adorable!

Zachary, Ryan and Sydney - Christmas Card Photo Shoot

It's that time of year! Time for me to get Christmas photos of my nephews and niece. These kids have been in front of a camera since the minute they were born. You'd think they were use to them by now. WRONG! Over the years we've found that bribery and Wal-Mart work wonders. Also, they are all gadget freaks like that aunt. So, any electronic gadget will hold their attention too. Considering I was photographing three unwilling participants, I think we have a few we can use.

Jerel + Shakirah = Chemistry

I had the pleasure of photographing husband and wife, Jerel and Shakirah, with friend and fellow photographer Nicole B.  I met Jerel and Shakirah for the first time at Sweetwater Creek State Park.  We started the session while the sun was shining and ended in complete darkness.  It was hard to stop photographing these two because they were so good together. Here are a few of my favorites from this session.

Demetrius and Sasha

Back in September I had an opportunity to participate in a workshop reunion with Ross Oscar Knight.  Ross is a phenomenal photographer who is dedicated to "Building a Community Through Photography".  During the workshop, we participated in a Photojournalism Challenge which involved shooting engagement photos for a couple who had experienced some sort of hardship in their relationship. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the cutest couple, Demetrius and Sasha. They were awesome to work with, and their love for each other was evident as I got a chance to work with them. By the end of the shoot, I felt like I'd known them for years.  I wish them the best as they prepare to begin their lives together next year.
